Traditional CARDIO is BAD for You

There is a reason (for years) I have considered “Traditional Cardio” an inferior activity to Resistance Training – Even at it’s peak when everyone was raving about cardio – I was against it, because I knew it was pushed by fitness industry to sell Treadmills and stationary bikes (It is 8.5 Billion USD Industry).

Slow paced cardio as a “standalone” activity for fat-loss is probably one of the worst things anyone can do. A very common example of slow paced cardio is people jogging in the parks not only it eats up on your “muscle mass”; it beats up on your joints (hips and knees) like nothing else. During jogging peak Tibial forces can go up to 4.2 times an individual’s bodyweight compared to 2.5 times. On top of that most people think that they know how to jog but usually everyone who hasn’t learned proper technique ends up with bad strokes which contributes to injuries.

People pursuing “Cosmetic Enhancement” will end up disappointed if their only go to activity is a traditional cardio. Not only it makes an individual lose muscle it also takes too long to see any changes whatsoever which of course is usually very discouraging for anyone beginning their fitness journey.

Here is an example from 1969 of two different types of activities creating two very different types of Physiques, even though the twins are suppose to posses identical genes:

The one on the left (OTTO) looks “SKINNY FAT” because he has been running long distances. He is not as muscular as his brother plus it’s easily visible that he carries more fat than his brother as well.

-The one on Right (EWALD) on the other hand has been training for field Events – High Intensity Training – The kind we do at KinetiX – He looks Lean and Muscular. Aesthetically EWALD beats OTTO by a mile but it doesn’t end there – EWALD has a way better chance of fighting off diseases.  Even though the example is of Males – Above is true for FEMALES as well – Actually females get way better Results with RESISTANCE TRAINING than Traditional Cardio!
