What should be the Ultimate Fitness Goal?
As important as setting a particular goal is – people get too obsessed with the End Result while ignoring the “process” itself. At KinetiX we make sure that our members are focused on the process. So that not only they can improve on what’s happening right now but they can also enjoy it more as well.

Eventually this focus on process helps us in getting better results and achieve our member’s goals. In the last decade, we have seen people setting up goals and failing multiple times and one reason is; just because they want something doesn’t mean they’ll get it as well. Getting to an ultimate fitness goal requires a plan, a strategy and someone to guide you through – This is where a Fitness Trainer comes into play.

So, what is the Ultimate Fitness Goal for a KinetiX Member?
“THE GOAL IS TO MAKE PROCESS THE GOAL”
Ummm – Come on now Seriously? To be honest with you YES that should be everyone’s goal but let’s talk about another goal which we focus on with every member of ours:
“TO MOVE WELL AND TO LOOK GOOD”
Whenever we go through our initial consultation with a new member to be – We make sure that we let them know that this is what we will be trying to achieve during their time with us. Let me break this goal for you:

We always start with “MOVING WELL” – What does it mean? It means that a person should be able to do his/her routine work without any issue – he/she should be able to play with their kids – They should be able to move in the multiple ranges and planes of motion without any pain or discomfort. As we age (especially inactive individuals) we start losing our ranges of motion IF they are not practiced routinely. So, we make sure that our client’s programs include them sitting down, standing up, getting on the floor, moving laterally, moving forward and stepping back in a meaningful manner.

Another aspect of moving well is being strong. A person should be able to lift their kids, groceries, a stone or a dog without an issue – So instead of focusing on making them run on treadmills for hours we make sure that they lift weights and get stronger. Plus, a strong person has strong bones and less chances of joint pain.

Second part of our Ultimate Goal at KinetiX is “LOOKING GOOD” – And yes, it is important. An aesthetically pleasing physique is always on everyone’s wish-list and so it should be. We train all age groups at KinetiX – from 8-year-old kids to 70-year-old males/females and everyone usually comes up with their own version of aesthetic goals. The very first thing as a fitness personal trainers is to make sure that they are being realistic with what they want to achieve. An unrealistic goal is as good as not having a goal.

A person asking to drop 20 kgs in a month is an unrealistic goal and we make sure that we let them know. It’s important that anyone starting on a fitness journey starts right and make it a lifestyle instead of a 12 weeks thing where they lose weight fast and later when they stop training/dieting they gain it back. As I say:

The aim is not to FIGHT AGAINST Your Body – The Aim is to WORK With it.

We consider our goal to be a complete one as it focuses on being healthy while looking great.
